Old Fort Bay~
The private gated community of Old Fort Bay is located in the western district of New Providence Island, on the northern shore next to Lyford Cay. The exclusive Bahamas community offers all the amenities one could want such as 24 hour security, privacy, beach access, beach club, marina, parks, natural vegetation, and it is situated near restaurants, grocery stores, boutiques, and the Lyford Cay School.
Old Fort Bay especially appeals to boaters, since all of the properties have frontage on either a beach, the Ocean, or a Waterway. Mangroves within the canals and creeks have been preserved, which creates a more natural feel to the private area.
Old Fort Bay is aptly named. There is a historic fort in the community which dates back to the late 1700's and it is the focal point of community life. Over the years this old fort has been restored with love.
