There are four luxury suites, each with a premium en-suite bathrooms, creating room for up to eight guests. Every room in Villa Maji has a different soul allowing barefoot living and being careless of time while you stay in these extraordinary suites. The villa resplendently blends casual Caribbean architecture and West Indies design with dramatic roof lines and graceful silhouettes. The living room unfolds onto a terrace colonnade that wraps around the villa for poolside relaxing and alternative dining al fresco on crisp white coral stone floors. The gourmet kitchen features stainless steel Viking appliances with BBQ and opens to a formal dining room that accesses the terrace with refreshing aqua views of a large, lap-size swimming pool and adjacent reflection pool.

Located in the exclusive gated Seahorse Ranch with 250 acres of beach front and lush terrain on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. Sea Horse Ranch is a private gated community with 24 security. Only a 20-minute drive from the international airport of Puerto Plata, which has short direct flights from major international cities such as New York, Boston, Miami, and others.

The Beaches

Sea Horse Ranch resort is located beachfront along the Atlantic Ocean, in Cabarete on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. Take a golf cart through the resort, or enjoy a leisurely walk to explore our pristine beaches. A sandy cove is located right next to the Beach Club Restaurant, and several expansive stretches of sandy beachfront, such as Almond Beach, are suitable for swimming and are surrounded by rocky cliffs and wooded tropical forest areas. The ”secret spot” surf break, el Canal, is also within walking distance, offering empty line-ups populated only by a handful of surfers even on the best days. With warm, sparkling water, the ocean temperature remains around 80 degrees Fahrenheit all year. The coastline and beach sand have seasonal shifts related to tides and the trade-winds, offering a naturally beautiful scenic landscape.

The Tennis Club 

The Sea Horse Ranch Tennis Club features a Pro Shop, five clay courts, and private lessons for adults and children. Two courts are equipped with lighting for night play. This is by far the best place to play tennis on the North Coast and access to the courts is open to the general public. Many long term residents are able to join the Tennis Academy and sign up for ongoing group lessons.

The Equestrian Center 

Ride horses on the beautiful beaches of the Caribbean. The Equestrian Center at Sea Horse Ranch is a full-service facility offering organized tours on over seven miles of trails along pristine beaches and into tropical forests – the best of both worlds. Private lessons are available for advanced riders and novice alike. With 25 stalls, our stable boards paso finos, quarter horses, and thoroughbreds, as well as ponies. If you’re interested in riding horses in the Dominican Republic, Sea Horse Ranch is the place.

The Beach Club 

The Beach Club at Sea Horse Ranch offers a spectacular panoramic ocean view, casual, elegant décor, and a fresh menu serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Of particular note, there is a live music series with a variety of international artists performing regularly. The menu is as varied as the multi-national owners, Anahid & Vatche Avakian. These two gourmands are from Montreal, Canada, a city well known for its restaurants.

The Oceanfront Pools 

The El Bosque area encompasses Sea Horse Ranch's best amenities, an ocean front park with three secluded private beach coves, two split-level ocean front pools, and our ocean front restaurant. It is the perfect location for those who will spend most of their day at the beach and seaside pools. The two pools (one shallow for kids) are designed with a natural aesthetic that blends with the inherent beauty of the El Bosque nature reserve which features more than 15 different tree species and is home to an abundance of herrings, gulls, and marine crustaceans, more commonly known as hermit crabs.
