Gemma
Europe / Greece / Corfu
A villa suitable for ‘kings’ and ‘queens’, Villa Gemma is a flagship property in Corfu, unique in all its 9 acres.
Overview
Located near the Royal Summer Palace, it is beautifully built, evoking a certain “belle époque” style, and grandeur of design.
The Hollywood blockbusters For Your Eyes Only (James Bond) and The Punisher were shot here, on the villa. This unique villa is built next to the residence of the former King of Greece, where Prince Philippe of the UK was born.
Majestic gardens reveal interesting contrasts between foliage size and texture, while stone paths lead the way to continuous wonder. Walking through creates a beyond spaces experience, lifting the spirit and lowering the pulse.
Blending in this glorious landscape, the 200 sqm swimming pool offers a blue respite from all the green. Private access to a secluded pebble beach right underneath the property further exalts the senses, with the refreshing sea breeze and the emerald hues of the Ionian Sea as they spread over.
The property unfolds in three separate volumes, all meticulously renovated and maintained. White walls create the ideal backdrop for a Provençal style that sooths in its choice of off-white fabrics and relaxes in its choice of sofas and bamboo furniture.
Splashes of yellow and sky blue accentuate the entire composition, while the stone fireplace is imposing. A total of nine rooms provide ample space for hospitality, oozing luxury and a sense of class in tune with the island’s glorious past and cosmopolitan present.
