Mermaid Cove has four bedrooms (one on the ground floor and two on the second floor) each one furnished with plush bedding, flat-screen TVs and en suite bathrooms. The third floor is dedicated to the master suite where you'll enjoy a posh king-size bed, a private lanai, and stunning ocean views. Watch the sunset from your balcony and when you're ready for bed, leave the doors open and listen to the sounds of the waves as you drift off to sleep. Furnished with fluffy cotton towels, a double slipper clawfoot tub, and a steam shower for two, the spacious master bath provides a spa-like experience you'll never forget.
Grab your friends and watch a movie in the home theater on the 80-inch Smart TV. Choose from a collection of Blu-ray videos or press the Netflix button on the remote for even more choices. For book lovers, Mermaid Cove has a well-stocked library.
If you need to work while you're away, the expansive ocean view corner office is the ideal place to keep up with your projects. Wifi and high-speed internet provide convenience.
Outdoors at Mermaid Cove, fun and excitement await you. From the beautiful sandy beach, eight-person Jacuzzi and expansive swimming pool that flows underneath the lanai, you'll never be at a loss for something to do. No need to pack and go to the beach—you're already there! Enjoy a relaxing morning on the beachfront lounge chairs. Take a dip in the ocean, then wash off the salt and sand in the refreshing heated outdoor shower. Fix a tasty lunch in our covered outdoor barbecue kitchen and serve it to your friends from the swim-up bar.
This gorgeous home is secluded in a 24-hour guarded and gated oceanfront community with keypad entry just a short walk to the classic Hawaiian town of Kailua. Watch the cruise ships from the Kailua-Kona Pier, where you'll have access to Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, and dolphin and whale watching. Visit the famous farmers market. Enjoy a shave ice or a cup of Kona coffee. Dine on a light snack or a gourmet meal, buy an inexpensive souvenir or a piece of fine art, book an activity, go for a swim or hang out at the beach. The pier is the official starting and finishing point of the Ironman World Championship (held annually in October), and a great place to watch the sunset. Everything you want and need is readily available in the heart of Kailua-Kona town.
You'll love exploring the area and its many significant Hawaiian cultural landmarks. Both the Hulihee Palace and the Mokuaikaua Church are located on Ali'i Drive. King Kamehameha I spent his last years living near the current site of what is now the King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel, until his passing in 1819. The Ahu'ena Heiau, located on the grounds of the hotel, is a reconstructed temple rebuilt by the late king and is on the register of National Historic Landmarks.
Mermaid Cove is one of only a few properties with beachfront access. It's conveniently located, and a great home base to explore the many wonders of the Big Island including Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory, coffee and macadamia nut farms, artist communities, and more!
